About COSY-IFAC
Following the end of conflict in 2024, Syria is entering a phase of reconstruction. Yet the country currently lacks a structured, internationally connected control and automation community.
This prolonged isolation has significantly limited participation in global scientific networks such as IFAC. Rebuilding such a community is essential, since control engineering plays a critical role in infrastructure, energy systems, mobility, and industrial modernization, all central to long-term recovery.
